Research Interests:

-	Synthesis and conformational studies of peptides containing conformationally restricted, C-alpha-tetrasubstituted amino acids.
-	Peptide design. Solid-phase peptide synthesis using nonnatural amino acids as novel building blocks, for conformational and biological investigations of antigenic, helical peptides.
-	Synthesis and molecular recognition studies of conformationally restricted peptides as potential receptors for fullerene-C 60 .
-	Functionalization of C 60 and preparation of fullerene-peptide conjugates for the investigation of the biological activity of this system.
-	Synthesis of the new unnatural amino acid fulleroproline, interesting building block for the construction of C 60 -containing peptides.
-	Synthesis of peptidomimetics involved in the stabilization of the MHC-class I molecules.
